Sim Gill

Sim Gill is an American attorney and politician who currently serves as the District Attorney for Salt Lake County, Utah. He is a member of the Democratic Party.

Gill was first elected District Attorney in 2010 and has been re-elected subsequently. As District Attorney, he is responsible for prosecuting felony and misdemeanor crimes that occur within Salt Lake County. His office also handles juvenile justice matters and victim services.

Prior to becoming District Attorney, Gill served as a prosecutor in the Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office and as a public defender. He is a graduate of the University of Utah and the University of Utah College of Law.

Gill has been involved in several high-profile cases and has been a vocal advocate for criminal justice reform. He has also served on various boards and committees related to law enforcement and public safety. His work focuses on areas such as fair sentencing, addressing the opioid crisis, and promoting community engagement in the criminal justice system.
