David Smith (Gloucestershire cricketer)

David Smith (born 19 March 1975) is an English former first-class cricketer. He played for Gloucestershire County Cricket Club between 1997 and 2000. A right-handed batsman and occasional right-arm medium-pace bowler, Smith primarily played as a top-order batsman. He made his first-class debut for Gloucestershire against Oxford University in May 1997. Smith played a total of 27 first-class matches for Gloucestershire, scoring 872 runs with a highest score of 97. He also played 16 List A matches, scoring 232 runs.
