Instinct (magazine)

Instinct was a monthly gay men's lifestyle magazine published in the United States. Founded in 1997, it covered a wide range of topics including entertainment, fashion, travel, relationships, health, fitness, and politics, with a focus on issues relevant to the gay community. The magazine featured celebrity interviews, articles on current events, and personal essays.

Instinct aimed to present a modern and diverse view of gay male life, often including content on sexuality and relationships that was more explicit than some other mainstream LGBTQ+ publications. It catered to a demographic of primarily affluent and educated gay men, and was distributed nationally through newsstands, bookstores, and subscriptions.

The magazine's editorial stance was generally supportive of LGBTQ+ rights and activism. Instinct also offered online content through its website, which included news, blogs, and forums.

Publication of the print edition of Instinct ceased in 2015. The website continued to be updated with articles and other content for a period of time thereafter, but its current status is unclear.
