Sheikh Badin

Sheikh Badin is a hill station and historical site located in the Sindh province of Pakistan, near the city of Hyderabad. It is situated on a detached hill of the Karunjhar Mountains range. Historically, it served as a sanatorium during the British colonial period due to its relatively cooler climate compared to the surrounding plains.

The hill station is named after the Sufi saint Sheikh Badin, whose shrine is located at the summit. He is revered by people of the region, and the shrine is a popular destination for pilgrims.

The area surrounding Sheikh Badin is characterized by arid landscapes and sparse vegetation. Due to its elevation, it offers panoramic views of the surrounding plains, including the Indus River delta. The site holds archaeological significance, with remnants of historical structures and settlements present in the area. Efforts have been made to promote tourism to Sheikh Badin, but infrastructure development remains a challenge.
