George Sutton (cricketer)

George Sutton (born 28 November 1868, date of death unknown) was an English cricketer who played first-class cricket for Somerset between 1891 and 1893.

A right-handed batsman and occasional right-arm medium-pace bowler, Sutton played in 14 first-class matches for Somerset, scoring 269 runs with a highest score of 42. He took only one wicket, conceding 31 runs.

Sutton's debut came against Sussex in August 1891, scoring 16 and 26. He played regularly in the 1892 season, but had less success and lost his place after a few matches in 1893. Details of his life outside of cricket are scant.
