David Latta (ice hockey)
David Latta (born July 21, 1967, Kindersley, Saskatchewan) is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey player. Latta played primarily as a defenseman.
Latta was drafted in the 6th round, 120th overall, by the Quebec Nordiques in the 1986 NHL Entry Draft. He played 21 National Hockey League (NHL) games for the Nordiques in the 1990-91 and 1991-92 seasons, scoring no goals and 2 assists.
Prior to his NHL career, Latta played junior hockey in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with the Saskatoon Blades and the Prince Albert Raiders. He spent a significant portion of his professional career in the minor leagues, including stints in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Halifax Citadels, Utica Devils, and Cornwall Aces, and in the International Hockey League (IHL) with the Fort Wayne Komets, Indianapolis Ice, and Cincinnati Cyclones. He also played in Europe, including time spent in Germany.
Latta retired from professional hockey in 2000.
