George Radcliffe (politician)
George Radcliffe (dates of birth and death needed, likely 17th century) was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons at various times between 1621 and 1640.
Radcliffe's origins and early life are currently obscure. He first entered Parliament in 1621 as a Member of Parliament (MP) for Richmond, Yorkshire. He was elected MP for Scarborough in 1624. He was re-elected MP for Richmond in 1625, and again in 1628, sitting until 1629 when King Charles I decided to rule without parliament for eleven years.
In April 1640, Radcliffe was elected MP for Richmond in the Short Parliament. No further reliable information regarding his later life and political activities is readily available at present. Further research is required to ascertain his familial connections, political affiliations beyond parliamentary records, and overall impact on the political landscape of the period.
