Peccia
Peccia is a village and former municipality in the district of Vallemaggia in the canton of Ticino, Switzerland. It is known for its marble quarries, particularly those yielding white marble, which has been used in numerous construction and artistic projects internationally.
The village is situated in the Lavizzara valley, a side valley of the Vallemaggia. Before its incorporation into the municipality of Lavizzara in 2004, Peccia was an independent municipality.
