Bloodhounds (South Korean TV series)
Bloodhounds is a South Korean action noir streaming television series written and directed by Jason Kim (Kim Joo-hwan). It is based on the Naver webtoon of the same name by Jung Chan. The series stars Woo Do-hwan, Lee Sang-yi, Kim Sae-ron, Park Sung-woong, and Huh Joon-ho.
The plot revolves around two young boxers who get entangled with a ruthless loan shark and find themselves fighting against a powerful and corrupt organization to protect their loved ones and what is right. The series explores themes of friendship, loyalty, and the struggle against overwhelming odds.
Bloodhounds was released on Netflix on June 9, 2023. Production was temporarily halted and some of Kim Sae-ron's scenes were edited following her DUI incident during filming. The series received generally positive reviews for its action sequences, cinematography, and the performances of its lead actors.
