John Edwards (New York politician)

John Edwards (born August 20, 1946) is an American politician and lawyer who served as a member of the New York State Assembly, representing the 138th Assembly District in Rochester, New York, from 1993 to 2004. A Democrat, he was known for his advocacy on environmental issues and education funding during his time in the Assembly. Prior to his legislative service, Edwards worked as an attorney. After leaving the Assembly, he continued to be involved in community affairs in Rochester.
