1987 US Open (tennis)

The 1987 US Open was a Grand Slam tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts at the USTA National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York City, New York, from September 1 to September 14, 1987. It was the fourth and final Grand Slam tournament of the year.

Ivan Lendl won the men's singles title, defeating Mats Wilander in the final in four sets. Martina Navratilova won the women's singles title, defeating Steffi Graf in the final in straight sets.

Peter Fleming and John McEnroe won the men's doubles title, defeating Stefan Edberg and Anders Järryd. Martina Navratilova and Pam Shriver won the women's doubles title, defeating Claudia Kohde-Kilsch and Helena Suková.

Martina Navratilova and Emilio Sánchez won the mixed doubles title, defeating Betsy Nagelsen and Paul Annacone.
