Senova

Senova, also stylized as SENOVA, was a sub-brand of the Chinese automaker BAIC Motor, focused on producing passenger vehicles. Launched in 2012, Senova aimed to compete in the mid-to-high-end segment of the Chinese automotive market. The brand's vehicles were primarily based on technology acquired from Saab, following BAIC's purchase of intellectual property rights from the Swedish manufacturer in 2009. Models included sedans and SUVs, such as the Senova D50, Senova X25, and Senova X65. The brand was ultimately discontinued in 2019 as part of a restructuring effort within BAIC Motor, with its models largely absorbed into other BAIC brands. The name "Senova" itself does not have a direct or widely recognized meaning beyond its use as a brand identifier.
