Santiago Álvarez (rugby union)
Santiago Álvarez (born February 14, 1994) is an Argentine rugby union player. He primarily plays as a winger or centre.
Álvarez has represented Argentina in both the 15-a-side and sevens versions of rugby. He is best known for his contributions to the Argentina national rugby sevens team, Los Pumas Sevens. He was a key member of the team that competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, and the team that won the bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
Álvarez is recognized for his speed, agility, and try-scoring ability in sevens rugby. He has participated in numerous World Rugby Sevens Series tournaments.
