Sanjiv Mehta (Indian businessman)

Sanjiv Mehta is an Indian businessman, best known as the Chairman and Managing Director of Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), Unilever's Indian subsidiary.

Born in India, Mehta holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Sydenham College, Mumbai, and a Masters in Management Studies from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai.

He joined Hindustan Unilever Limited in 1992 and has held various positions within the company, including business head for detergents, CEO of Unilever Bangladesh Limited, and regional president for South Asia. He was appointed CEO and Managing Director of HUL in October 2013, and Chairman in June 2018.

Under Mehta's leadership, HUL has experienced significant growth and has been recognized for its sustainability initiatives. He has received numerous awards and accolades for his contributions to business and leadership, including being named "Business Leader of the Year" by various publications.
