Ryan Russell (American football)
Ryan Russell (born November 16, 1991) is an American former professional football player. He played as a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Buffalo Bills.
Russell played college football at Purdue University. He was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
In August 2019, Russell publicly came out as bisexual, making him the first openly LGBTQ player in the NFL since Michael Sam. His announcement was published in an essay for ESPN.
