Rick Strom (American football)

Rick Strom (born July 26, 1966) is a former American football quarterback. He played college football at the University of Georgia and later for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Detroit Lions in the National Football League (NFL).

Strom played for South Fayette High School in McDonald, Pennsylvania, where he was a highly regarded recruit. He initially attended the University of Georgia, where he played for three seasons.

Strom was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the sixth round of the 1988 NFL Draft. He served primarily as a backup quarterback during his time with the Steelers (1988-1992). He then played for the Detroit Lions in 1993 before retiring from professional football.

After his football career, Strom pursued a career in business.
