Reefer (band)
Reefer was an American stoner rock band formed in the early 1990s in the Pacific Northwest. The band was known for its heavy, psychedelic-influenced sound and lyrics centered around themes of cannabis use, mythology, and environmentalism.
While never achieving mainstream success, Reefer cultivated a devoted following within the stoner rock and doom metal underground. The band released several EPs and full-length albums through independent labels. They toured extensively throughout the United States, often sharing the stage with similar acts.
The band's lineup shifted over the years, but core members typically included a vocalist/guitarist, bassist, and drummer. Reefer officially disbanded in the late 1990s, with members pursuing other musical projects. Although relatively obscure, their music remains influential within niche communities, and their recordings are sought after by collectors.
