Wedgie

A wedgie is a prank or type of bullying in which someone's underwear is pulled upwards from the back (or sometimes front) of their pants, causing the fabric to become wedged between the buttocks (or genitals). This typically results in discomfort and often public humiliation. The severity can range from a mild tug to a forceful yanking that causes pain or even tears the underwear.

The act is often performed as a practical joke, particularly among adolescent males, but can also be a form of physical aggression. Different variations exist, often named based on the degree of severity or the method of execution. These variations include, but are not limited to:

• Atomic Wedgie: The underwear is pulled up and over the head.
• Hanging Wedgie: The victim is suspended by their underwear from an object such as a coat rack or door handle.

The wedgie is widely recognized in popular culture, frequently appearing in movies, television shows, and other forms of media, often for comedic effect.
