Ainavilli
Ainavilli is a village located in the East Godavari district of the Andhra Pradesh state in India. It is primarily known for its ancient and revered Sri Vighneswara (Ganesha) temple. The Ainavilli Vighneswara Swamy temple is a significant pilgrimage site, attracting devotees from across the region and beyond.
The temple's historical importance stems from local legends and puranas. It is believed that Lord Vighneswara, the remover of obstacles, manifested himself here. The temple's architecture reflects traditional South Indian temple design. The village itself is a relatively small settlement, with its economy largely supported by agriculture and the tourism associated with the temple.
The Ainavilli temple plays a vital role in the religious and cultural life of the people in the surrounding areas. Festivals and special occasions related to Lord Ganesha are celebrated with great fervor. The temple provides various services to pilgrims, including accommodation and prasadam (sacred offering).
The administration of the Ainavilli temple is managed by the Endowments Department of the Andhra Pradesh government.
