Edleston
Edleston is a village and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. It is located approximately 2 miles north of Nantwich.
The parish is primarily rural, consisting of agricultural land and scattered farms. Historically, Edleston was a small agricultural community, and agriculture remains an important part of its economy. The area is characterised by a network of country lanes and footpaths, popular with walkers and cyclists.
Edleston has a small population. At the 2011 Census, the population was recorded as 103.
While Edleston itself is a small village, its proximity to Nantwich provides residents with access to a wider range of services, including shops, schools, and healthcare facilities.
The name Edleston is believed to derive from Old English, possibly meaning "Eadlaf's farmstead" or a similar personal name combined with the element "-tun" meaning settlement or enclosure.
