Redcar

Redcar is a town and civil parish in the unitary authority of Redcar and Cleveland, North Yorkshire, England. It is located approximately 7 miles (11 km) east of Middlesbrough and sits on the North Sea coast.

History:

Redcar's history dates back to the 14th century, initially as a fishing village. Its growth was spurred by the development of the Stockton and Darlington Railway in the 19th century, which facilitated tourism and trade. Redcar became a popular Victorian seaside resort, known for its sandy beach and racecourse.
