RSP (band)

RSP was a Japanese hip-hop/R&B duo consisting of Saki Ichikawa (born 1988) and Ai Mizoguchi (born 1988). They were formed in Osaka, Japan, and were active primarily from 2005 to 2013.

RSP gained prominence with their single "Kansha.", which was used as an ending theme for the anime series Yakitate!! Japan. The single achieved significant commercial success, propelling the group into the mainstream. Their music often featured themes of friendship, love, and everyday life, appealing to a wide audience, particularly young listeners.

Following "Kansha.", RSP released several more singles and albums, some of which charted well in Japan. They performed at various music festivals and events throughout their career.

In 2013, RSP announced their disbandment, citing personal reasons and the desire to pursue individual goals. After the disbandment, Saki Ichikawa continued to pursue a solo career in music, while Ai Mizoguchi largely retreated from the public eye.

While relatively short-lived, RSP left a notable impact on the Japanese music scene during their time together, particularly within the genres of hip-hop and R&B, and remain remembered for their popular anime theme song and positive musical messages.
