Scott Robertson (rugby union)

Scott Robertson (born 21 August 1974) is a New Zealand rugby union coach and former player. He is currently the head coach of the New Zealand national rugby union team, the All Blacks, having taken over the role in 2024.

Robertson played as a loose forward, primarily as a flanker. He represented Canterbury and the Crusaders in New Zealand provincial and Super Rugby respectively. He also played for the All Blacks, earning 23 caps between 1998 and 2002. Known for his dynamic play and distinctive breakdancing celebrations after victories, Robertson was a popular figure within New Zealand rugby.

Following his playing career, Robertson transitioned into coaching. He achieved significant success as head coach of Canterbury in the Mitre 10 Cup (formerly the ITM Cup and Air New Zealand Cup), leading them to multiple titles. He then took on the head coaching role at the Crusaders in Super Rugby. Under his leadership, the Crusaders achieved unprecedented success, winning seven consecutive Super Rugby titles from 2017 to 2023.
