2024–25 2. Liga (Slovakia)
The 2024–25 2. Liga is the second-highest level of football competition in Slovakia, following the Fortuna Liga. The league is organized by the Slovak Football Association (SFZ). The season is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2024 and conclude in the spring of 2025. The league typically consists of a specified number of teams (usually around 12-16, but this can change year to year), who compete in a round-robin format, either single, double or triple, depending on the number of teams participating. At the end of the season, the top-placed team(s) may be promoted to the Fortuna Liga, while the bottom-placed team(s) may be relegated to the third tier of Slovak football. The exact promotion and relegation rules depend on the regulations set by the SFZ for that particular season and the licensing requirements teams must meet. Details regarding participating teams, schedule, and specific promotion/relegation criteria for the 2024-25 season will be officially confirmed by the Slovak Football Association closer to the season's start.
