Andrey Makarov (ice hockey)

Andrey Makarov (born September 20, 1993) is a Russian professional ice hockey goaltender. He has played in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL), the American Hockey League (AHL), and the ECHL.

Makarov began his professional career in the KHL with CSKA Moscow. He later played for the Rochester Americans in the AHL and for the Elmira Jackals and Reading Royals in the ECHL.

Prior to his professional career, Makarov played junior hockey in North America for the Saskatoon Blades and the Prince Albert Raiders of the Western Hockey League (WHL). He represented Russia at the IIHF World Junior Championship, winning a silver medal in 2012 and a bronze medal in 2013. He was known for his athleticism and competitive spirit in net.
