Plastic Little (band)
Plastic Little is a Japanese hip-hop group formed in Tokyo in 2005. They are known for their energetic live performances, unique sound that blends hip-hop with electronic music and J-pop influences, and their often visually striking and colorful aesthetic.
The group's lineup has changed over the years, but has consistently featured rapper MC Ronmaia. Other notable members have included YUKARI and Tomad. Their music frequently features elements of electro, breakbeat, and chiptune, contributing to their distinct and recognizable sound.
Plastic Little gained a following both in Japan and internationally, particularly through online music communities and anime convention appearances. Their music has been featured in various media, including video games and anime soundtracks.
They have released several albums and EPs throughout their career, exploring themes of youth culture, technology, and modern life. While the group has not been consistently active in recent years, their impact on the Japanese electronic music scene and their contribution to the "kawaii" (cute) aesthetic in music remain significant.
