Peter Boyle (footballer, born 1951)

Peter Boyle (born 20 April 1951) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a left back.

Boyle began his career with Dundee United, making his debut in 1970. He went on to make over 200 league appearances for the club, winning the Scottish League Cup in 1979 and 1980. He also played in European competitions for Dundee United.

In 1982, Boyle moved to Forfar Athletic, where he spent one season. He then joined Montrose, where he finished his professional career.

After retiring from professional football, Boyle remained involved in the sport at amateur level.
