Pauli (crater)
Pauli is a lunar impact crater that is located on the far side of the Moon. It lies to the southwest of the huge walled plain Gagarin, and northeast of the crater Backlund.
The outer rim of Pauli is heavily eroded, with a number of smaller craters lying along the edge and inner walls. The most notable of these is Pauli G, which is attached to the exterior along the northeast. Other craters lie along the northwest and southwest rims. The interior floor is somewhat irregular, and marked by several small craterlets. The formation has not been significantly altered by later impacts, although its worn condition indicates a considerable age.
