Parker 51

The Parker 51 is a fountain pen first released by the Parker Pen Company in 1941 and produced in the United States until 1972, with production continuing in other countries, notably Argentina, Brazil, England, and India, for varying lengths of time afterward. The "51" designation came about because it was the pen model that Parker believed would secure the company's dominance for the next 50 years, starting in 1941.

The Parker 51 is notable for its hooded nib, a design feature intended to protect the nib from drying out and to collect ink more efficiently. The pen's filling mechanism was initially the Vacumatic system, but was later changed to the Aerometric squeeze filler. The pen was manufactured in a wide range of colors, materials (including gold-filled and sterling silver), and trims.
