Oleksandr Marchenko (politician)

Oleksandr Marchenko (Ukrainian: Олександр Марченко; born January 12, 1965, in Kyiv, Ukrainian SSR – died April 3, 2022, near the village of Dmitrivka, Kyiv Oblast, Ukraine) was a Ukrainian politician and member of the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine's parliament) of the VIII convocation (2014-2019). He was a member of the All-Ukrainian Union "Svoboda" political party.

Marchenko served in the Verkhovna Rada representing electoral district No. 151 in the Poltava Oblast. His parliamentary activities included membership in the Committee on National Security and Defence. Prior to his election to the Verkhovna Rada, he was involved in business.

During the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, Marchenko joined the territorial defence forces and was killed in action near the village of Dmitrivka in the Kyiv Oblast. He was posthumously honored for his service.
