First Strike (album)

First Strike is the debut studio album by the American heavy metal band Stormtroopers of Death (S.O.D.). It was originally released in 1984 on Megaforce Records. The album is a crossover thrash metal landmark, blending elements of hardcore punk and thrash metal with controversial, often satirical, lyrics. First Strike is known for its fast tempo, aggressive instrumentation, and politically incorrect humor. It is considered a highly influential album in the development of crossover thrash and extreme metal genres. The album features founding members Billy Milano, Scott Ian, Charlie Benante, and Dan Lilker.
