Old Catio

An "Old Catio" is a portmanteau of "old" and "catio," referring to an outdoor enclosure or patio specifically designed and built for cats that has been in existence for a significant period of time. An old catio may show signs of wear and tear due to age and exposure to the elements. These signs can include faded paint, weathered wood, slightly damaged screening, or overgrown vegetation around the perimeter. While the defining characteristic is simply age, an old catio is often distinguished by its potential for needing repairs or renovation to maintain its structural integrity and continued safety and suitability for feline occupants.
