Oh My God (band)
Oh My God was an American rock band formed in Chicago, Illinois in 1999. The band's sound incorporated elements of garage rock, punk rock, and power pop, often characterized by raw energy, catchy hooks, and satirical lyrics.
The core members consisted of Chris Otepka (vocals/guitar), Peter Otepka (bass), and Joe Onderdonk (drums). They released several albums, including "Oh My God" (2002), "Early Recordings" (2003), "Is This Okay?" (2004), and "The Night Undoes the Work of the Day" (2006).
Oh My God toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe, building a dedicated following with their energetic live performances. The band was known for their DIY ethos and independent spirit. While they never achieved mainstream success, they were critically acclaimed within the independent rock scene.
Oh My God disbanded in the late 2000s. Members have since pursued other musical projects. Despite their relatively short lifespan, Oh My God left a mark on the Chicago music scene and the broader landscape of independent rock music.
