Off Minor (band)

Off Minor was an American post-hardcore band formed in 1999 in New York City. The band was known for its technical and angular sound, blending elements of hardcore punk, jazz, and progressive rock. They were initially signed to Hydra Head Records.

The band’s lineup consisted of Jamie Behar (vocals), Steven Roche (guitar), Matt Smith (bass), and Kevin Roche (drums). Their music often featured complex song structures, dissonant harmonies, and politically charged lyrics.

Off Minor released several EPs and full-length albums during their active period. Notable releases include the EPs The Heat Death of Everything and Self-Portraits, and the full-length albums Some Blood, Innominate, and Van Etten.

The band toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe, playing alongside other prominent post-hardcore and experimental rock bands.

Off Minor officially disbanded in the mid-2000s. Members have since been involved in other musical projects. Despite their relatively short lifespan, Off Minor is remembered for their innovative and influential contributions to the post-hardcore genre.
