Norman McLeod (Australian politician)
Norman McLeod (1870 – 1933) was an Australian politician who served as a Member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly.
McLeod represented the electoral district of Burnett from 1907 to 1915. He was elected as a representative of the Ministerialist party. During his time in parliament, he participated in debates and votes on various legislative matters affecting the Burnett region and Queensland as a whole.
While in office, McLeod focused primarily on issues related to agriculture, land settlement, and local infrastructure development within the Burnett district. His parliamentary contributions included advocating for improved railway services and road construction to facilitate the transportation of agricultural produce to markets. He also actively supported policies aimed at encouraging closer settlement of land and assisting farmers in the region.
After leaving parliament in 1915, McLeod remained involved in local community affairs. Information regarding his professional life and personal life is scant but it is understood that he continued to engage in activities related to the agricultural industry. He died in 1933.
