Herbert Wagner (general)
Herbert Wagner (born December 24, 1896, died August 8, 1968) was a German general during World War II.
Wagner joined the Prussian Army in 1915 and served during World War I. He remained in the Reichswehr after the war, steadily rising through the ranks. Before World War II, he held various staff positions within the German military.
During World War II, Wagner served as Quartermaster General of the Army High Command (OKH) from 1944 until the end of the war. In this role, he was responsible for the supply and logistics of the German Army on the Eastern Front. He held the rank of General der Artillerie.
Following the war, Wagner was held as a prisoner of war. He was later released and lived in West Germany until his death. His responsibilities within the OKH made him a key figure in the logistical operations of the German war effort on the Eastern Front.
