Impur (album)

Impur is the debut studio album by the Polish black metal band Mgła. It was released in 2008 through Northern Heritage Records. The album is characterized by its bleak atmosphere, raw production, and philosophical themes centered on misanthropy, nihilism, and existential despair. The lyrics, written in Polish, explore the perceived inherent corruption and futility of human existence. Musically, Impur features blast beat drumming, tremolo-picked guitars, and rasped vocals, all contributing to its intense and oppressive sound. It is considered a significant release in the contemporary black metal scene and helped establish Mgła as a prominent force within the genre.
