Mandaloun (horse)

Mandaloun was an American Thoroughbred racehorse best known for winning the 2021 Kentucky Derby. Trained by Brad Cox, Mandaloun initially finished second in the Derby behind Medina Spirit. However, following Medina Spirit's positive drug test, Mandaloun was subsequently declared the official winner in February 2022.

Mandaloun was owned by Juddmonte Farms. He primarily raced on dirt, showing promise as a three-year-old with wins in the Risen Star Stakes (G2) prior to his Kentucky Derby run. Following his Derby victory, he continued to race, securing further wins including the Haskell Stakes (G1) in 2021. His career concluded in 2022.
