Ministry of Privatisation (Pakistan)

The Ministry of Privatisation is a Federal Ministry of the Government of Pakistan. Its primary function is to plan, manage, and implement the privatization program of state-owned enterprises (SOEs). This includes identifying suitable entities for privatization, conducting due diligence, structuring transactions, managing the sale process, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The Ministry aims to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability of SOEs by transferring ownership and management control to the private sector. This is intended to reduce the burden on the national exchequer, attract foreign investment, and stimulate economic growth.
