Rose Marie (1936 film)

Rose Marie is a 1936 American musical film starring Jeanette MacDonald, Nelson Eddy, and Reginald Owen. It was directed by W. S. Van Dyke and is the second of three film adaptations of the 1924 operetta of the same name by Rudolf Friml and Herbert Stothart.

The film tells the story of Marie de Flor, a temperamental opera singer who travels to the Canadian wilderness to rescue her brother, John Flower, who is wanted for murder after accidentally killing a Mountie during a brawl.
