Noel Hunt
Noel Hunt (born 26 December 1982) is an Irish former professional footballer and current football coach. He played primarily as a forward, though he could also operate as a winger or attacking midfielder.
Hunt began his professional career with Shamrock Rovers in Ireland before moving to Scotland where he played for Dunfermline Athletic. He then moved to England, joining Reading in 2008. He enjoyed a successful spell with the Royals, contributing to their Championship-winning season in 2011-12 and subsequent promotion to the Premier League.
Following his time at Reading, Hunt played for various other clubs including Leeds United, Ipswich Town, Southend United, Portsmouth, and Wigan Athletic. He also had a brief stint in Ireland with Waterford.
Internationally, Hunt represented the Republic of Ireland national team, earning caps at various youth levels before making his senior debut in 2008.
After retiring from playing, Hunt transitioned into coaching. He has held coaching roles at various levels, including academy and first-team positions. He has managed Swindon Town on an interim basis.
