Subbotin (crater)
Subbotin is a lunar impact crater that is located on the far side of the Moon. It lies to the west of the large crater Mandel'shtam, and northeast of Papaleksi.
This is a relatively young crater, with a well-defined rim that has suffered only a slight amount of impact erosion. The inner walls are terraced, and slope down to a relatively level interior floor. There is a small central peak formation at the midpoint of the crater.
Subbotin is named after Mikhail Fedorovich Subbotin, a Soviet astronomer.
