Nanchang

Nanchang is the capital city of Jiangxi Province in southeastern China. It is a prefecture-level city and the political, economic, cultural, and transportation center of the province. Located on the Gan River and the Fu River, it has a history dating back over 2,200 years.

History:

Nanchang's history can be traced back to the Western Han dynasty, when it was established as a city called Yuzhang in 201 BC. Throughout Chinese history, it has served as an important administrative and military center. In 1927, Nanchang was the site of the Nanchang Uprising, a significant event in the Chinese Communist Revolution.
