Accent Records (US)
Accent Records was an American record label founded in 1947 by Fred Foster in Nashville, Tennessee. Initially focusing on gospel music, particularly quartets, the label expanded its catalog to include country, bluegrass, and rockabilly artists. Accent Records is known for its early recordings of notable figures such as The Statesmen Quartet, Red Foley, and Carl Perkins. The label ceased operations in the mid-1960s. Its catalog has been reissued by various labels over the years, preserving its legacy within American music history.
