Muak-dong
Muak-dong, also spelled Muakdong, is a dong (neighborhood) located in Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It is situated in the northern part of Jongno-gu, nestled in the shadow of Mount Bugak (also known as Mount Baegak). Muak-dong is a relatively small and quiet residential area, characterized by older housing and a traditional atmosphere compared to other, more modern areas of Seoul. Its proximity to the mountain and historical sites contributes to its charm. The neighborhood is primarily residential, with a limited number of commercial establishments. Access to the area is typically through public transportation, with bus routes serving the area and nearby subway stations requiring some walking. While not a major tourist destination itself, Muak-dong provides a glimpse into the everyday lives of Seoul residents and offers convenient access to the historical and natural attractions of Jongno-gu.
