Mors (automobile)

The Mors was a French automobile manufactured from 1895 to 1925 by Société d'Électricité et d'Automobiles Mors. Founded by Émile Mors, the company initially focused on electric vehicles before transitioning to internal combustion engines.

Mors quickly gained recognition for its racing successes in the early era of motorsport. Its powerful and technically advanced vehicles won numerous competitions, establishing the marque's reputation for performance and engineering. Notable drivers associated with Mors included Henri Fournier.

The company's models varied over the years, ranging from smaller, more affordable vehicles to luxurious and powerful cars. Mors was known for its engineering innovation, particularly in engine design and chassis construction.

Production ceased in 1925 when Mors was acquired by Citroën. The Mors factory became part of the Citroën manufacturing complex. Although the Mors name disappeared from the automotive market, its contributions to early automotive technology and motorsport history are significant.
