Morrie (musician)
Morrie, born Takayuki Takizawa (滝沢 隆幸, Takizawa Takayuki) on March 4, 1965, is a Japanese rock vocalist, lyricist, and musician. He is best known as the vocalist of the influential visual kei band DEAD END, which was active from 1984 to 1990, and reunited in 2009.
Following DEAD END's initial disbandment, Morrie embarked on a solo career. His solo work diverges significantly from DEAD END's hard rock sound, often incorporating elements of ambient, electronic, and experimental music. He has released several solo albums, exploring themes of existentialism, introspection, and spirituality.
Beyond his work with DEAD END and his solo releases, Morrie has also collaborated with various other musicians and projects, showcasing his versatility and willingness to explore different musical genres. He is recognized for his distinctive and powerful vocals, as well as his poetic and often philosophical lyrics.
