2023 U.S. Open (golf)
The 2023 U.S. Open was the 123rd edition of the U.S. Open, one of the four major championships in professional golf. It was held from June 15–18, 2023, at the Los Angeles Country Club (North Course) in Los Angeles, California. This marked the first time the U.S. Open was played at the Los Angeles Country Club since 1948.
The tournament featured a field of 156 players, consisting of exempt players and those who qualified through sectional qualifying tournaments. Players competed in 72 holes of stroke play, with the top 60 players (including ties) making the cut after 36 holes.
Wyndham Clark won the championship, finishing with a score of 10-under par, one stroke ahead of Rory McIlroy. It was Clark's first major championship victory. Scottie Scheffler finished in third place.
