Mofezolac
Mofezolac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) of the oxazole class. It is used primarily for the relief of pain and inflammation associated with conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and lower back pain. Mofezolac works by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, specifically COX-1 and COX-2, which are responsible for the production of prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are involved in the inflammatory process and pain signaling. By reducing prostaglandin synthesis, mofezolac alleviates inflammation, pain, and fever. It is available in some countries as an oral medication. As with other NSAIDs, mofezolac may have potential side effects, including gastrointestinal disturbances, cardiovascular risks, and kidney problems.
