Mahito (title)

Mahito (真人, まひと) is a fictional character from the Japanese manga series Jujutsu Kaisen, written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. He is a major antagonist in the series, a cursed spirit born from the fear and hatred of humans towards each other.

As a cursed spirit, Mahito is characterized by his manipulative and sadistic nature. He enjoys toying with human emotions and desires, often exploiting them for his own amusement and to further his own goals. He possesses a unique cursed technique called Idle Transfiguration (無為転変, Mui Tenpen), which allows him to reshape the soul of both himself and others. This ability allows him to morph his body into various forms, heal injuries, and inflict devastating attacks on his opponents. He can also manipulate the bodies of humans he touches, turning them into monstrous creatures known as Transfigured Humans.

Mahito is a key member of a group of cursed spirits plotting to revive the ancient and powerful sorcerer Sukuna. He frequently clashes with the protagonists of Jujutsu Kaisen, particularly Yuji Itadori and Kento Nanami. His philosophical musings on the nature of the soul and his cold-blooded actions make him a complex and compelling antagonist.
